Effective date: [DD Month 2026] Last updated: [DD Month 2026]
1. General
The information on the website of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Arts and Science ("JNIAS", "the Institute", "we", "us" or "our"), at [www.jnias.com] and its sub-pages (the "Website"), is provided for general information about the Institute, its programmes, facilities, and activities.
By using the Website, you accept this Disclaimer. It should be read with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website.
2. Accuracy and Currency of Information
We take reasonable care to keep the Website accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that the content is complete, current, or free from errors, omissions, or typing mistakes.
Information such as courses offered, seat intake, eligibility, admission dates, fees, scholarships, academic calendars, faculty, facilities, and events may change without prior notice because of decisions by Mahatma Gandhi University, the Government of Kerala, regulators, or the Institute.
Official sources prevail. If there is any difference between the Website and the official prospectus, notifications, circulars, or notices of the Institute or the University, the official documents will prevail. Please confirm important details with the Admissions Office before you act on them.
3. Admissions
Information about admissions on the Website is not an offer of admission and does not guarantee a seat. Admission is subject to eligibility, availability of seats, the rules of Mahatma Gandhi University and the Government of Kerala, verification of original documents, and the Institute's admission policy.
Submitting an enquiry or application through the Website does not create any right to admission. We may reject, defer, or cancel an application or admission if any information or document is found to be false, incomplete, or ineligible.
4. Affiliation, Approvals, and Recognition
JNIAS is a private, unaided arts and science college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Programmes are offered under the regulations of the University and, where applicable, of other bodies such as the All India Council for Technical Education (for example, for the BCA programme). [Please keep this clause consistent with the approvals the Institute currently holds.]
References to affiliation, approvals, accreditation, or recognition are based on the status at the time of publication. Such status may be reviewed, renewed, or changed by the relevant authority. Please verify the current status with the University or the concerned authority.
Degrees are awarded by Mahatma Gandhi University and not by the Institute. Whether a qualification is accepted for a particular job, public service, or further study is decided by the employer, authority, or institution concerned.
5. No Guarantee of Results, Placement, or Careers
Statements about career opportunities, placement support, industry exposure, skills, or student achievements describe the Institute's efforts and past outcomes. They are not a promise or guarantee of any examination result, rank, job, salary, internship, or further admission.
Past achievements, such as university ranks or student successes, do not predict future results. Outcomes depend on each student's effort, performance, and circumstances, and on market conditions.
6. Add-On Courses, Workshops, and Certificates
Add-on courses, workshops, and certificates offered by the Institute are meant to build additional skills. Unless the Website says otherwise, they are not degrees or qualifications awarded by Mahatma Gandhi University and may not carry academic credit or equivalence to a University programme.
7. Fees, Scholarships, and Payments
Fee amounts, scholarships, concessions, and payment terms shown on the Website are indicative and may be revised. The fee structure and refund rules notified by the Institute at the time of admission apply.
Scholarships and financial support depend on eligibility, available funds, and the rules of the awarding body or the Institute. Their mention on the Website does not guarantee they will be given.
Where online payments are accepted, they are processed by third-party payment providers. We are not responsible for failures, delays, or charges on their side. Please keep your payment confirmation and receipts.
8. Beware of Fraud and Unauthorised Agents
The Institute accepts applications and fees only through its official Website, its Admissions Office, and the official channels it announces. We do not authorise any agent, consultant, or individual to promise admission or to collect money for a seat on our behalf, unless we publicly say so.
Please do not pay money or share original documents with anyone who claims to guarantee admission. Always check the contact details on this Website. If you receive a suspicious call, message, or email in our name, please report it to the Admissions Office at info@jnias.com or 04868 236999 and to the local police or the Cyber Crime Portal.
The Institute is not responsible for any loss caused by dealing with unauthorised persons.
9. Student Stories, Testimonials, and Media
